2023-10-19

In this recent release, we have successfully updated the App to the latest Shopify Design.

2023-10-06

Enhanced Metafield Mapping Rules: We have resolved an issue that previously caused multiple metafield mapping rules for the same attribute to yield inconsistent values during feed creation. With this update, you can now expect consistent and reliable data mappings across your entire feed.

Introducing the "Amount No Decimals" setting. This feature allows merchants to round prices in the feed when using the "amount_no_decimals" or "amount_no_decimals_with_comma_separator" shop configurations in alignment with Shopify's currency formatting options.

For detailed instructions on utilizing this feature, please refer to our 'Remove Decimals from Prices' help tutorial.

Performance Update: In this release, we have implemented a performance update for the Google App. By rendering the status page with slight improvements, we've enhanced our LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) score, resulting in a smoother user experience.

2023-07-26

Tag Parser Bugfix: We have resolved a bug in our tag parser that caused issues when tags included numbers in the option part, such as "custom_label_3: value." This fix ensures that tags are correctly recognized for our tag mapping rules.

2023-07-21

Enhanced Error Message: We have improved the error message in our Google feed. Instead of the potentially misleading "no bulk operation URL," we now check for products in the sales channel and provide the clearer message "no products in sales channel" when relevant, ensuring a more precise error identification process.

In our latest release, we've introduced several enhancements to optimize your data management:

  1. Optional SKU to MPN Mapping: We've added the flexibility of optional SKU to MPN mapping. Given that we primarily serve as a supplementary feed, we respect Google's approach to managing MPN/GTIN data. We recommend refraining from altering the MPN field as the Google sales channel provides its own metafields for this purpose. For further customization, consider exploring this feature through a setting, which may be relevant to specific customer needs.
  2. No Item_Group_ID for Single Variants: We've aligned with Google's specifications regarding item group ID attributes. When dealing with single variants, you no longer need to submit an item group ID. Ensure that your variants use at least one of the specified variant attributes, such as color, pattern, material, age group, gender, or size, for compliance.
  3. Refactoring Images & Additional Images: We've refined the way certain images are added to feed items. Previously, there was a bug that added the product's featured image to feed items even when a product variant had a separate image assigned. Now, we ensure that all product images are added to feed items unless they are already assigned to other product variants for the same product. This change aligns our behavior with the Google sales channel for a more consistent experience.

In our latest update, we're introducing two valuable enhancements:

  1. Google Feed Item Links: Feed item links in the Google feed now include the following UTM parameters, aligning with the standards set by the Google sales channel:
    • utm_medium=product_sync
    • utm_source=google
    • utm_content=sag_organic
    • utm_campaign=sag_organic

These additions ensure consistency and improved tracking for your Google feed items, further enhancing your experience with our app.

  2. Attribute Picker Improvement: In our attribute picker, we now display the feed attribute name alongside a label, offering a more informative and user-friendly experience for managing your data.

Bugfix Update: we've addressed three critical issues:

  1. Currency Parameter in Product Link: We've resolved the Price Mismatch error by adding the necessary currency parameter to the product URL in the feed. This ensures accurate price matching, even when there's a time difference between updates on your website and in the Google Merchant Center.
  2. Limit on Additional Images: To prevent the "Item is too big" error, we've restricted the number of additional images to 10, aligning with the required guidelines.
  3. Handling 'compareAtPrice' Values: We've fine-tuned our handling of 'compareAtPrice' values, ensuring that "00.00" (not "00:00") is correctly interpreted and ignored when encountered.

A new version of the App, including several enhancements, has been deployed:

  1. Direct Metafield Definition Creation for Images: In this update, merchants now have the ability to create metafield definitions for images directly within our app. For existing installations, a quick authentication refresh is required. Learn more about how to use 'Image Customizations' here.
  2. Enhanced Attribute Picker: We've revamped the attribute picker in the attribute mappings section, making it even more user-friendly and efficient for your data management needs.
  3. Support for the 'product_detail' Attribute: Our app now offers support for the 'product_detail' attribute, further expanding the scope of attributes available for your use.
